AUA faculty member Arman Tatoyan has been elected as the fourth Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia

College of Humanities and Social Sciences – AUA faculty member Arman Tatoyan has been elected as the fourth Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia.  Dr. Tatoyan stepped down from his position as Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Representative of Armenia at the European Court of Human Rights after being elected as the new Human Rights Defender of Armenia on February 23.  Dr. Tatoyan holds an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a PhD in Law, Jurisprudence and Criminal Justice from Yerevan State University.  At AUA, he has been on the LL.M. faculty and has taught undergraduate courses in General Education.  Dr. Tatoyan confirmed he will continue teaching at AUA in coming semesters.
